Big Conversations. Bigger Moves.

There are seasons in life where everything begins to align—not all at once, and not always perfectly—but in a way that feels intentional. Conversations deepen. Ideas take shape. And the work you’ve been building quietly starts to move forward in visible ways.

This past month has been one of those seasons for me.

From meaningful podcast conversations to stepping into new spaces as a guest, and making important decisions behind the scenes on my upcoming book, Before Forever, there has been a lot unfolding—and I wanted to take a moment to bring you into it.

Because this journey isn’t just about writing a book.
It’s about becoming the person who is willing to share it.

The Power of Aligned Conversations

Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with two incredible women whose messages couldn’t have been more timely.

In my conversation with Dr. Otito Iwuchukwu, author of The Belonging Paradox, we explored what it truly means to feel at home within yourself. Not the kind of belonging that requires you to adjust, shrink, or prove your worth—but the kind that begins internally. One of the most powerful takeaways was this: when you become comfortable in your own skin, you naturally begin to recognize spaces that are not meant for you—and you stop trying to force yourself into them.

That shift alone is freeing.

It reframes rejection as redirection. It reminds you that not every opportunity is an assignment, and not every room deserves your presence.

In my conversation with Sheryl Green, author of You Had Me at No, we moved into a discussion about boundaries—and not just the idea of them, but the practice of them. She spoke about the importance of pausing before saying yes. Creating space to ask yourself meaningful questions: Do I want to do this? Do I have the capacity? What is this costing me?

That pause is powerful.

She also offered an important nuance—while “no” is a complete sentence, there are moments where providing context can support clarity and preserve relationships. Boundaries are not about shutting people out; they are about showing up honestly and intentionally.

Both conversations, in their own way, came back to the same truth:
you are allowed to choose yourself.

Stepping Into the Conversation

I also had the opportunity to join a couple of conversations as a guest this month, and those moments reminded me why these discussions matter so much.

On the Married Into Crazy Podcast, I spoke about prenuptial agreements—one of those topics that often brings hesitation or resistance. What stood out most to me was witnessing a real-time shift in perspective. What began as skepticism turned into openness by the end of the conversation.

That’s the work.

Prenuptial agreements are often misunderstood, but at their core, they are about clarity, communication, and intention. They are not about planning for failure—they are about building with awareness.

I also joined the Sunday Morning Chat Series with Jesse Oakley, III, where I spoke directly to aspiring authors. That conversation felt personal. I shared something I believe deeply: you never know who is waiting on your story.

You may have already lived through something that someone else is trying to navigate right now. Your words could be the blueprint they didn’t know they needed.

And that alone is reason enough to write.

Behind the Scenes: The Book Cover Journey

If you’ve ever worked on a creative project, you know that sometimes clarity comes through contrast.

Last month, I shared an initial book cover design I received from Fiverr. It was nice—but it wasn’t it. And sometimes, you need that experience to move forward. Seeing what didn’t align pushed me to get more involved in the process.

So I opened Canva.

What started as a moment of creative frustration turned into something meaningful. I created a design that felt much closer to the vision I had been holding for Before Forever. From there, I went back to Fiverr and asked for a refined version of that concept.

And again—it was beautiful. But still not quite there.

What I’ve come to realize is that the final cover will likely live somewhere in between. A blend of my original vision and professional refinement. And honestly, that feels right. Because this entire process has been about learning how to trust my instincts while also allowing room for collaboration.

A New Consideration: Publishing Support

This next step is one I’ve been thoughtfully exploring.

For the first time, I am considering working with a publishing company to help bring this project across the finish line. Ownership has always been a priority for me, so this was never about handing over control—but about finding aligned support.

What makes this opportunity different is that I would retain 100% ownership. I would use my own ISBN and continue to publish through my own accounts—Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and IngramSpark.

That part matters.

Where the support comes in is with interior design and marketing—two areas that can significantly shape how a book is experienced and received.

And beyond that, it creates space.

Space to take my hands off the steering wheel for a little while.
Space to focus on building my platform, strengthening my network, and preparing intentionally for the launch.

And perhaps most importantly, space to bring in expertise where it matters. Having someone who is more experienced in marketing than I am is not just helpful—it’s strategic. It increases the likelihood that this book reaches more people and resonates more deeply when it does.

For now, I’m exploring the possibility.
And I’ll continue to share the journey as it unfolds.

Anticipated Release: June 26, 2026

Be the Inspiration — Someone Is Waiting on Your Story

If you’ve been holding onto an idea, a story, or a vision—waiting for the right time to begin—this is your reminder that you may already have everything you need.

You don’t need perfection.
You don’t need certainty.

You need willingness.

Because somewhere, someone is searching for a way through something you’ve already made it through. And your story—your voice, your perspective—might be the very thing that helps them take their next step.

So write it.
Share it.
Trust that it matters.

Be the inspiration someone else is waiting for.
